• Verify patient insurance information, health coverage details, and process medical collections efficiently
• Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to facilitate timely reimbursement from insurance providers and patients
• Maintain comprehensive medical records and documentation to support billing accuracy and compliance
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify billing details and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Stay updated on healthcare claims management regulations, medical terminology, and insurance policies to ensure adherence to industry standards

Qualifications

• Experience required in medical billing within a home health or healthcare setting, with familiarity in medical office procedures
• Proficient in Work, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG classifications, and ICD coding practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and healthcare claims management tools
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers
• Understanding of health insurance policies, medical records management, and medical terminology is essential
• Ability to analyze complex medical bills and resolve billing issues efficiently while maintaining accuracy
• Prior experience with medical collection processes and healthcare reimbursement procedures is highly desirable
