Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skilled nursing billing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.
• Previous experience in senior living, long‑term care, or healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community.
• Serve as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members.
• Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities.
• Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
• Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions.
• Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
• Maintain accurate census information, including resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.

What You’ll Do

As our Billing Specialist, you’ll oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members.
