Job summary

Concentra, Inc is seeking a Reconsideration Specialist for a full-time, on-site role in Linthicum, MD. You will process billing adjustments and reconsideration payments, monitor issues, and ensure accurate documentation, benefiting both employer clients and employees.

The role requires 1–3 years in medical billing, attention to detail, and strong customer service. Expect a 1st shift schedule with standard business hours and adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years' experience in medical billing or collections.
• Ability to handle confidential information (HIPAA) and maintain discretion.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor all reconsiderations and payments.
• Identify and apply appropriate adjustments per contracts or state requirements.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding issues and resolutions.
• Follow up on reconsiderations for proper payment.
• Maintain accurate state reports, transcription, and explanations of benefits.
