Job summary

Pekin Insurance is seeking an IT Analyst - Billing & Payments to translate business needs into epics, features, and user stories, focusing on BillingCenter and related integrations. You will collaborate with Product Owners, partners, and technology teams to refine backlog and ensure delivery of high-value capabilities.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, testing, and continuous improvement of billing and payment experiences.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, CS, or related field or equivalent work experience.
2-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst/IT Analyst role; agile environment preferred.
Experience eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating requirements.
Experience translating journeys into epics, features, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
Experience with billing/payments, customer portals, and financial transactions is a plus.

Responsibilities

Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for Billing & Payments capabilities.
Translate journeys into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and flows.
Partner with Product Owners and tech teams to refine backlog based on value and risk.
Support delivery across Guidewire BillingCenter and related integrations; clarify requirements and resolve issues.
Define, execute, and document test cases; support UAT and verify business outcomes.
Promote continuous improvement of billing/payment experiences through data-driven analysis.
