Job summary

California Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a Business Office Manager to oversee billing, collections, and benefits assistance for residents in a skilled nursing facility. You will coordinate office operations and ensure accurate payer processing.

The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid, private payers, and trust fund management, with experience in long-term care and familiarity with Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, HMOs, including appeals.
• Knowledge of verifying payor sources and deposits, MediCal TARS.
• Experience in collecting from managed Medi-Cal care organizations.
• Proficient in securing authorizations.
• Knowledge of state and federal nursing home guidelines, including trust fund management.
• Experience with Point Click Care software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Billing and collections for Managed Care and Managed Medi‑cal, Insurance, co-insurance, hospice and private payers.
• Assisting residents to apply for benefits available to them.
• Coordinate support services and personnel to ensure smooth office operations.
• Processing Ancillary Accounts payable
• Other duties may be assigned
