Xcel Energy seeks a senior leader to develop and execute the strategy for Customer Care Billing Operations. You will drive budget, analytics, vendor management, quality assurance, and talent management to deliver high-quality bill delivery and SOX compliance.

You will steer cross-functional collaboration across departments, implement efficiency improvements, and oversee workforce planning and performance development to support strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, communications or related discipline required.
• 8-10 years of experience in related business discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional departments and teams, leading a diverse work group and effective employee engagement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Regulatory and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Experience successfully managing large-scale projects, budget and employees.

Responsibilities

• Direct Billing Operations team ensuring timely and accurate bill processing meets service levels and quality expectations.
• Lead efforts to ensure SOX compliance, business continuity, disaster recovery plans and industry benchmarking.
• Identify and advance business and process improvement opportunities; support changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations and systems.
• Oversee multiple large vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, manage performance and ensure SLA compliance; manage budget related to vendor services.
• Oversee the department budget (O&M and capital), headcount planning, recruitment and retention.
• Partner with OpCo Account Management and other units to align goals and coordinate efforts.
