Job summary

Kahana Feld LLP seeks a Billing Manager to lead the firm’s billing operations across all offices and practice groups, ensuring timely, accurate client invoices while complying with client guidelines and outside counsel requirements.

The role includes policy development, KPI monitoring, and team leadership, with 7–10+ years in legal billing and 3–5+ years of management. Advanced Excel and e-billing platform experience (Aderant Expert, Intapp) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• 7-10+ years of progressive legal billing experience.
• 3-5+ years of management experience in billing teams.
• Strong Excel and financial reporting skills; experience with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead billing operations across all offices and practice groups.
• Develop and maintain billing policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Monitor KPIs: billing cycle efficiency, realization, and invoice accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve billing processes, workflow efficiency, and revenue capture.
• Establish service standards and performance expectations for billing.
