Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking a Payer Receivable Coordinator to support the Hospital & LTC Billing team at the Riedman Campus in Rochester, NY. This full-time, day-shift role focuses on overseeing daily billing operations, guiding staff, and improving workflows to maximize collections.

Responsibilities include collaborating with HIM, Revenue Integrity and other departments, coordinating special projects, and maintaining accurate receivable information.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with receivable systems and billing platforms.
• Understanding of payer contracts and reimbursement methodologies.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance compliance.
• Familiarity with ICD-9 diagnosis, CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent problem solving, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily billing operations in collaboration with leadership.
• Support onboarding of new, temporary, and outsourced staff.
• Provide feedback to leadership on team issues and performance.
• Collaborate with HIM, Revenue Integrity, and other departments to resolve billing issues.
• Coordinate timely completion of special billing projects to meet goals.
• Cross-train on multiple billing platforms as needed.
• Research and respond to internal and external questions professionally.
• Identify potential billing compliance issues and inform leadership.
• Assist in coordinating and implementing new services and lines.
• Participate in process improvement committees.
