Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, via WECTEC Staffing Services, seeks a Billing Operations Consultant for a 1-year contract in Houston, TX. You will own commissions reporting, support IL market billing, and assist with pricing file submissions and site maintenance. This W-2 role reports to the onsite manager.

Responsibilities include end-to-end commissions reporting, pricing updates, AR reviews, and resolving billing errors across systems. Collaboration with accounting and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or a related field.
• Collaboration and customer interaction.
• Experience in the utilities or energy industry is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end commissions reporting process, ensuring accuracy, completion, and identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
• Submit pricing files to utilities.
• Perform pricing updates on applicable sites to ensure rates remain current and accurate.
• Perform AR review of account balances for the IL market external Bill Ready process.
• Monitor and resolve check rejections for IL Bill Ready files.
• Review daily usage-not-billing reports to identify and address unbilled accounts.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve billing errors across systems.
• Validate external Rate Ready shadow billing reports against internal system data for accuracy.
• Review and work exception reports generated from the billing system.
• Help with payment posting functions.
• Help with month-to-month utility reconciliation.
• Help with rerate analysis as needed.
• Assist the accounting team with reporting, tax reports, and reconciliation.
• Assist vendor invoicing as needed.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Work batch log exceptions (EDI) for billing items not posted.
• Support mail review and other daily operational tasks.
• Help with additional billing and operational needs as they arise.
• Provide support with complaint handling and TPV call reviews as needed.

About the role

We are looking for a Billing Operations Consultant on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will be supporting a wide range of billing and operational functions across the Illinois market and other markets. The primary focus of this role will be owning the commissions reporting process, supporting Illinois market billing operations, and assisting with pricing file submissions and site maintenance. You wil report to the onsite manager.
