Job description

Job Description

The mission of the Billing Clerk is to accurately record the sale, profit, and commissions payable on all sold units, and to maintain accurate accounting of vehicle inventories.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Bill all new and used car deals and post into accounting.
2. Receipt all monies received for new and used car deals and dealer trades.
3. Organize all paperwork in each deal; check for completeness (signatures, verify VIN, etc.).
4. Process pay-off checks for trade-ins and mail to the appropriate financial institution in a timely manner.
5. Process dealer trades in and out.
6. Generate and maintain the salesperson’s commission reports and list of commissions on-hold.
7. Route paid deals to the tag and title clerk for processing as soon as money is received in house.
8. Provide administrative support to management, other departments, and employees as needed.
9. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
10. Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Previous automotive Billing Clerk experience.
• Computer literacy; accurate with 10-key pad and typing skills.
• Self-motivated; able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedule.
• Basic working knowledge of accounting.
• Good interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to perform duties safely and pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
