Job Description

HireLevel is looking for a Claims Specialist in Marion, IL.

Our client is a state-of-the-art retina care division focused solely on the care of retinal disease. Established in 1974, they have grown into a multi-specialty ophthalmological practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and optical services to the communities of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and understand that each patient should be treated like family.

Job Category: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Compensation: $16 per hour

Benefits: 401(k), Dental and health insurance, Paid time off

Responsibilities of Claims Specialist:

• Logging patient information into the database
• Processing insurance claims
• Assisting with inbound and outbound calls
• Gathering information and analyzing claims data
• Verifying coverage and resolving disputes
• Completing all assigned reporting forms in a timely manner
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements of Claims Specialist:

• High school diploma or GED
• Experience using a computer
• Knowledge of billing and Explanation of Benefits (EOB)
• Experience with medical terminology
• Ability to meet criminal background clearance and drug testing policies
