Responsibilities
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices collected from various departments within the consulting firm.
- Review and verify billing data for accuracy, checking for any discrepancies and rectifying them promptly.
- Maintain and update client records, ensuring all billing information is accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that all invoices align with the financial policies and procedures of the company.
- Prepare and present reports detailing billing activity, payment status, and any outstanding invoices.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies arising from billing or payment processes.
- Coordinate with the consulting team to ensure all services are correctly billed.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, contributing to the overall financial health of the company.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding billing and financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a billing clerk or similar role, preferably within a consulting environment.
- Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of billing and financial concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot numerical errors.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve billing discrepancies and issues efficiently.
