Job summary

Howden in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Billing Relationship Associate with a hybrid work schedule. You will manage client and carrier invoices, coordinate billing allocations, and ensure timely payments.

The role requires 2+ years in billing or insurance operations, a Bachelor's degree, and knowledge of SOX controls. Proficiency with Excel and billing systems such as Epic or AMS360 is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in accounting/finance.
• 2+ years of billing, accounting, or insurance operations experience.
• Knowledge of SOX controls or financial compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Request, review, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of client and carrier invoices.
• Coordinate billing allocations based on client and carrier instructions.
• Process fee agreements and manage internal fee allocations per requirements.
• Calculate surplus lines tax obligations per state regulations.
• Align with accounting to confirm carrier payment terms and processing.
• Coordinate and maintain SOX compliance documentation for billing and audits.
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies related to billing and payments.
• Obtain premium finance quotes for viable accounts and review carrier audits for accuracy.
