Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Billing Analyst to support standard and automated billing. You will report to the Billing Director and collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and IT to deliver accurate, scalable billing solutions.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of related experience, and is proficient in Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs, macros) with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced setting. Insurance industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
• Strong PC and Microsoft applications.
• Excel expertise with pivots, V-lookups, macros.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject-matter expert for standard and automated billing processes.
• Serve as a main point of contact for process analysts supporting standard and automated billing.
• Perform reconciliations between automated billing results and source data; investigate discrepancies.
• Support issue resolution related to standard and automated billing; document findings and actions.
• Participate in initiatives to migrate contracts from manual to automated billing.
• Review billing requirements to determine automation eligibility and data gaps.
• Assist with billing configuration and testing for new automated arrangements.
• Maintain and update billing documentation and SOPs for standardized processes.
• Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and IT to support billing enhancements.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation and efficiency.
• Support monthly and recurring billing cycles with deadlines and accuracy.
