Job summary

Gallagher in Rolling Meadows, IL, is seeking a skilled Billing Analyst to support Core Standard Billing operations and automation initiatives. You will collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and IT to ensure accurate billing, timely reconciliations, and scalable processes across standard and automated workflows.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience, strong Excel skills (including pivots, lookup, and macros), and a detail‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
• Strong PC and Microsoft application skills; Excel expertise with pivots, V-lookups, macros.
• Experience with billing systems, financial reporting tools, or ERP platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for standard and automated billing processes, ensuring accuracy.
• Act as main contact for Gallagher Center of Excellence process analysts.
• Perform reconciliations and analysis between automated results and source data.
• Support issue resolution by researching root causes and documenting findings.
• Participate in migrating contracts to automated billing; review automation eligibility.
• Assist with billing configuration, testing, and validation prior to production.
• Maintain billing documentation and SOPs; support cross‑functional improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Client Services, and IT on enhancements and changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by increasing automation and reducing manual touchpoints.
• Support monthly and recurring billing cycles with attention to deadlines.
