Job summary

CJR in Waterbury, CT is seeking a Bilingual Youth Therapist to provide community-based treatment for 12-17 year-olds with delinquent behaviors. You will assess strengths and challenges across school, home, and community, and develop weekly treatment goals with families within a clinical team.

You will deliver MST therapy, collaborate to build social supports, submit monthly progress reports, and participate in supervision and transitions between departments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling and/or Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or LMFT/LMSW/LPC-A/LMFT-A required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual Spanish and English required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience with individual and family counseling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide MST-based treatment to families in their natural environment.
• Collaborate with families to build an enduring social support network.
• Deliver a range of goal-educated services to clients and families.
• Submit a monthly written progress report to the referring provider.
• Discuss transitions between departments with the referring provider.
• Conduct a termination interview with the family to summarize progress.
