Children's Aid Society is seeking a Group Leader to work with a group of youth aged 13–18, planning activities aligned with curricula to boost academic and social-emotional growth.

You will promote the organization's mission and values while guiding youth through life-skill development, tutoring, and college prep, collaborating with staff and partners, with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of experience working with children and/or families.
• Bilingual English–Spanish required.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and programs.
• Flexible and adaptable.
• Experience in curricula development and implementation.
• Ability to interface with diverse youth and staff populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems and database operations.

• Conduct strategic planning to develop and implement youth services.
• Manage adolescent groups of 10–15 members aged 13–18.
• Provide creative educational ideas for a safe, stimulating academic environment.

• Plan and lead project-based learning activities ensuring safety and engagement.
• Develop individual educational objectives for each member.
• Provide college preparation and instruction.
• Provide group and one-on-one tutoring.
• Coordinate referrals with center staff and share information as needed.
• Train youth in peer education and leadership development.
• Plan and lead educational and recreational trips.
• Provide attendance, monitoring, and outreach.
• Develop service plans and assess youth progress.
• Maintain participant case files and required documentation.
• Coordinate with on-site and off-site providers and attend meetings.
• Submit weekly schedules and reports.
• Engage with parents to understand youth needs and communicate effectively.
• Collaborate with other agency youth programs and partners.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
