Job summary

Seneca Family of Agencies is seeking a Bilingual Youth Counselor to design and monitor Intervention Preference Tools, collaborate with therapists, school staff, and families, and provide on-site and home/community services. The role supports short-term family stabilization and youth success.

The All-In!SoCal program serves youth referred by local districts across Orange County. The team includes behavioral interventionists, therapists, and parent partners, delivering services in homes, community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience implementing family-focused services preferred.
• At least 21 years of age.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Complete mental health notes, Intervention Preference Tool, incident reports, and other documentation timely and accurately.
• Complete Intervention Preference Tools.
• Form consultation relationships with school staff and leadership.
• Provide direct interventions to students as appropriate.
• Provide non-judgmental, unconditional support to children and families.
• Provide case management, coordination of care and crisis management services as needed.
• Facilitate client sessions, attend trainings, supervision, and group supervision.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to plan and supervise treatment plans.
• Engage families in the treatment planning process.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Travel throughout Orange County with mileage reimbursement.

Description

The Bilingual Youth Counselor designs, implements and monitors Intervention Preference Tools for students that are based on thorough assessments and collaboration with Seneca Therapist and team, school staff, and significant others in student's life. Additionally, the Counselor provides services to students in the home and community settings, alongside coordinating services as needed at school sites. On campus, the Counselor may provide coaching, redirection and modeling to students and school staff. The Bilingual Youth Counselor collaboratively provides short-term services to stabilize the family and promote academic and social emotional success for the youth.

The All-In!SoCal program serves youth and families referred by their local school district in Orange County. The teamconsistof behavioral interventionists, therapists, and parent partners. Together, the team provides unconditional support to children whose academics areimpactedby their mental health.Services are held in family homes, community locations, school sites, office locations, etc.

• Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team to plan, manage and supervise students’ treatment plans.
• Engage families in the treatment planning process.
• Provide strength-based and culturally competent services.
• Participate in professional learning communities to enhance practice and create coherence.
• Maintain a client and family driven schedule that may include early mornings and evenings.
• Uphold strict confidentiality of client information.
• Travel throughout Orange County with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

Required

• Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
• Experience implementing family-focused services (preferred).
• At least 21 years of age.
• TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies' insurance policy.

Preferred

• Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs.
• Experience implementing family-focused services.

Schedule

• Full-time, Temporary
  • Monday - Friday 10am - 6:30pm (client driven schedule)
• Hybrid; provide in-person services and complete documentation remotely
• Starting at $24.76 - $27.26 per hour
• Actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
