Job description

Note: This position requires at least one year of experience with all of the following equipment: power pallet jack, forklift, and high reach forklift.

As a warehouse trainer in our Ashland distribution center, you will oversee training for both new and current employees. In addition to training responsibilities, you will work alongside other warehouse product selectors to fulfill orders to Wegmans stores using the warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Train employees on proper use of power equipment, safety procedures, and company standards
• Evaluate operators’ ability to handle powered industrial trucks safely and certify employees
• Coordinate training, track courses, and communicate concerns with management and HR
• Accurately pick and build pallets, maximize trailer space, and prevent damage during transit
• Audit orders for accuracy and quality
• Use technology to maintain load integrity, especially for temperature-sensitive loads
• Operate equipment safely according to OSHA standards, follow evacuation procedures, and report hazards

Requirements:

• 1+ years’ experience with power equipment, including power industrial and high reach trucks
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills:

• Effective communication in both English and Spanish
