Job summary

St. John’s Community Health is seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to support multiple clinic locations and physicians. This role combines clinical duties with administrative tasks, including vital signs, specimen handling, and charting.

Requirements include bilingual English/Spanish, Medical Assistant certificate or CCMA, CPR/BCLS/OSHA, and travel between sites as directed. Proficiency in MS Office and EHR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Two years’ experience in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and charting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred.
• Willingness to travel to multiple clinic locations.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record vital signs.
• Perform administrative tasks: scheduling, records, billing, coding.
• Prepare patients for examination and assist physician.
• Administer injections as directed by a physician.
• Handle specimens and routine lab tests.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and ensure proper room setup.
• Maintain patient flow and infection control.
