Job summary

The Children's Community Programs of Connecticut is seeking a Therapist for the Long-Term Foster Care program. You will conduct biopsychosocial, trauma, risk, and mental health assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans for children under care.

You will provide individual, family, and group counseling with trauma-informed approaches, coordinate with schools and community partners, and support foster families to maintain stable placements.

Qualifications

  • MSW or master's degree in psychology, sociology, or related behavioral science with clinical experience as part of program requirements.
  • Licensed or license-eligible to provide clinical services in Connecticut (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT).
  • At least 2 years of postgraduate direct service to a child or adolescent population.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Cultural humility and sensitivity when working with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial, trauma, risk, and mental health assessments for children on your caseload.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and clinical goals for each child.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling with trauma-informed care.
  • Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and safety planning as needed.
  • Coordinate with schools, medical providers, attorneys, and community agencies; participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
