Job summary

Kelly Services in Fletcher, NC is seeking a Bilingual Translator to provide real-time English-Spanish translation on the shop floor, facilitating clear communication between production staff, supervisors, and management. You'll translate work instructions, safety and quality requirements, and training materials, while supporting onboarding and ensuring everyone understands job duties.

The role requires fluency in English and Spanish, a high school diploma, and willingness to work varying shifts

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translation during daily manufacturing operations.
• Support communication between production employees, supervisors, team leads, and management.
• Assist employees with understanding work instructions, safety requirements, quality expectations, and procedures.
• Support onboarding and training activities to ensure clear understanding of job duties and workplace expectations.
• Translate work-related documents, safety communications, and operational information as needed.
• Maintain a regular presence on the shop floor throughout your shift.
• Develop an understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment to better support production teams.

Pay Rate

$22.00 - $24.00 per hour, depending on shift

Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

• 2nd Shift: 3:15 PM - 11:30 PM

• 3rd Shift: 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM

• Up to 7 hours per shift. Must be available to work weekends as needed.

What’s a typical day as Bilingual Translator? You’ll be:

• Providing real-time English-to-Spanish and Spanish-to-English translation during daily manufacturing operations

• Supporting communication between production employees, supervisors, team leads, and management

• Assisting employees with understanding work instructions, safety requirements, quality expectations, and procedures

• Supporting onboarding and training activities to ensure clear understanding of job duties and workplace expectations

• Translating work-related documents, safety communications, and operational information as needed

• Maintaining a regular presence on the shop floor throughout your shift

• Developing an understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment to better support production teams

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Are fluent in both English and Spanish with strong verbal communication skills (must have)

• Have prior manufacturing or production experience (preferred, not required)

• Are able and willing to learn production processes and machine operation

• Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Can work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Are able to stand and walk for up to 7 hours per shift

• Are available to work weekends as needed

• Have a high school diploma or equivalent (required)
