Job summary

Fort Worth Independent School District is seeking a Coordinator of Translation and Interpretation Services at Valentine Service Center. You will oversee planning, quality assurance, and delivery of translation and interpretation services to ensure access for students, families, and community members whose primary language is not English.

The role coordinates language service providers, maintains records, schedules interpretation for meetings and events, recruits translators, and supports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Translation, interpretation, or language proficiency certifications preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation, interpretation, language access services, or related work
• Advanced bilingual and biliterate proficiency in English and Spanish
• Experience coordination translation and interpretation services in an educational, governmental, nonprofit, or similarly complex organization
• Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in a customer-service-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Oversees planning, coordination, quality assurance, and delivery of translation and interpretation services.
• Coordinates preparation, review, and delivery of translated documents and materials.
• Maintains systems for tracking translation and interpretation requests and service delivery.
• Maintains records and produces reports to support monitoring and compliance.
• Coordinates interpretation for meetings, events, trainings, and community activities.
• Identifies, recruits, trains, and maintains a pool of translators and interpreters.
• Coordinates with vendors/contractors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness language access services.
