Job summary

Shore Educational Collaborative in Cambridge is hiring a Therapeutic High School Teacher (Bilingual English/Spanish) to support students with disabilities in a therapeutic educational program designed to re-engage them academically and socially.

You will develop and deliver individualized, standards-aligned instruction, create and monitor IEPs, collaborate with families and service providers, and apply trauma-informed practices to foster a safe learning environment and student ownership of

Qualifications

• Flexible, collaborative, and innovative mindset essential.
• Current DESE licensure in Moderate Disabilities preferred.
• Strong prior teaching experience required.
• Experience with social-emotional/behavioral/mental health challenges preferred.
• Experience with project-based, experiential, or therapeutic learning approaches preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction in a therapeutic setting.
• Identify students' strengths and interests to create motivating learning experiences.
• Develop and implement IEPs with modifications, accommodations, progress monitoring, and data collection.
• Differentiate instruction for small groups and individualized learning environments.
• Utilize trauma-informed, restorative, and therapeutic classroom practices.
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff.
• Support executive functioning and future-readiness skills.
• Create experiential, project-based, and community-connected learning opportunities.
• Complete and maintain documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Stay current on special education practices and therapeutic approaches.
