Job summary

Brillante Academy seeks a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support lead teachers and nurture bilingual, student-centered learning. This role offers hands-on experience in a growing dual-language program and opportunities to develop instructional leadership skills.

You will deliver small group instruction, assist with lesson plans, track progress, and help maintain a joyful, inclusive classroom aligned with Brillante’s mission and virtues.

Qualifications

• Belief in Brillante Academy's mission and virtues.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or 48 college hours preferred.
• Experience in special education preferred.
• Experience with Pre-K or lower elementary preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small group instruction to provide individualized support.
• Prepare and deliver whole group lessons with guidance from lead teacher.
• Assist in customizing lesson plans to meet student needs.
• Support lead special education teacher with behavior management.
• Track data as instructed by lead teacher.
• Handle administrative duties supporting instruction and student learning.
• Provide personal care services for students as needed.
• Demonstrate belief in students' potential through actions.
• Participate in team meetings and school events.
• Monitor students during transitions and lunch break.
