Job summary

TaxLeaf in Miami is seeking a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to handle individual and business tax returns, including multi-state filings, and related bookkeeping. The role requires 2–3 years of tax preparation experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, and fluency in English and Spanish.

You will analyze financial statements, support the CPA, manage client paperwork, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on tax preparation experience
• Solid knowledge of individual and business tax returns
• Bookkeeping experience
• Financial statement preparation and analysis
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish: speaking, writing, and reading
• 2-3 years in tax preparation or public accounting
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns, including multi-state filings
• Handle bookkeeping and prepare financial statements
• Analyze financial statements to support accurate filings
• Support and assist the company's CPA
• Manage client paperwork from intake to filing
• Communicate with clients by email, phone, and in person
• Use Leafnet to manage clients, place orders, apply payments, and document interactions
• Contact governmental offices and coordinate with internal departments
• Maintain accurate task and database reports
• Keep all company and client information confidential
