Job summary

TaxLeaf is seeking a bilingual Tax Accountant in the United States (Miami area) to prepare individual and business returns, handle bookkeeping, and analyze financial statements. You’ll support the CPA, manage client paperwork, and communicate with clients via email, phone, and in person.

Requirements include hands-on tax prep, knowledge of federal/state/local tax laws, 2–3 years in tax roles, and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Proficiency with UltraTax and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on tax preparation experience.
• Solid knowledge of individual and business tax returns.
• Bookkeeping experience.
• Financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish: speaking, writing, and reading.
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., UltraTax), Excel, Office, and Teams.
• 2–3 years in tax preparation or public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual and business tax returns, including multi-state filings.
• Handle bookkeeping and prepare financial statements.
• Analyze financial statements to support accurate filings.
• Support and assist the company's CPA.
• Manage client paperwork from intake to filing.
• Communicate with clients by email, phone, and in person.
• Use Leafnet to manage clients, place orders, apply payments, and document interactions.
• Contact governmental offices and coordinate with internal departments.
• Maintain accurate task and database reports.
• Keep all company and client information confidential.
