SR 400 Constructors on the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta seeks a field survey helper. You will aid surveyors by setting up equipment, gathering field data, and supporting site preparation while complying with safety standards.

The role requires bilingual Spanish/English capabilities, a high school diploma or GED, and a proactive, meticulous approach to outdoor work on a major infrastructure site in Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Aid surveyors in setting up and operating surveying equipment.
• Assist in gathering field data, including measurements, elevations, and site features.

• Perform routine checks and maintenance on survey equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Document survey data, sketches, and observations accurately.
• Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the survey team and other construction personnel to facilitate smooth operations.

Join SR400 Constructors on the $4.6B SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, one of the largest roadway projects in the United States. This a major infrastructure undertaking managed by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to add 16 miles of new tolled express lanes along State Route 400. This project will transform a critical route and support mobility in one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.

Principal/Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Aid surveyors in setting up and operating surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and levels.
• Assist in gathering field data, including measurements, elevations, and site features.
• Help in preparing and maintaining survey sites by clearing obstructions and setting up markers or stakes.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on survey equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Document survey data, sketches, and observations accurately.
• Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with the survey team and other construction personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
