Job summary

Flatiron Construction Corp is seeking an on-site Assistant Superintendent to lead and coordinate field teams for the SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, ensuring schedules and safety standards are met. You will report to the Project Superintendent and drive productivity on a landmark infrastructure program.

Responsibilities include planning work methods, reviewing daily progress, coordinating with crews and utilities, and ensuring availability of equipment and materials to meet production

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing construction activities and labor staff.
• 3+ years of heavy civil construction experience, with a focus on bridges, structures, or walls.
• Advanced knowledge of tool and equipment safety.
• Knowledge of construction methods and safety requirements on a project site.
• Organization and document control skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned project work and labor personnel to meet daily schedule.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and work schedule for assigned project work
• Review daily work schedule with direct reports and updates weekly schedule from project feedback.
• Complete company required or regulatory documents such as DRA, JHA, Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheet, timesheets, etc.
• Review and understand the project specifications to support job set up activities.
• Work with crews and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on job site.
• Coordinate with internal equipment team to ensure that project work is equipped with appropriate equipment and material quantities to complete production.
• Forecast the work schedule to identify possible issues and provides technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
• Support and promote strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements.
• Supervise sub-contractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work.

Working directly under the project Superintendent, you will be instrumental in scheduling and managing the workforce, fostering a collaborative environment that drives success. You will collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to drive productivity and maintaining high safety standards on site.

You will be joining our $4.6B SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta-one of the largest roadway projects in the United States-delivered through a public-private partnership led by FlatironDragados and Acciona. This landmark infrastructure project includes the design, construction, long-term operation, and maintenance of the corridor for 50 years, transforming a critical route and supporting mobility in one of the nation's fastest-growing regions.

What we are looking for
