Job summary

San Diego State University’s Imperial Valley campus seeks a Student Disability Services Coordinator to serve as a welcoming contact for students with disabilities, coordinating accommodations and confidential records while working with faculty and staff to ensure equitable access.

Based in Calexico, this on-site role supports students through the accommodation process, partners with SDSU Student Disability Services, and helps connect students with campus resources to promote success and

Qualifications

• Customer service experience with students, staff, faculty, and partners.
• Knowledge of ADA, Section 504/508, and FERPA requirements.
• Experience handling confidential information with discretion and accuracy.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is highly desirable.
• Willingness to learn assistive technology and accommodation systems.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary point of contact for SDSU Imperial Valley students needing disability-related services.
• Coordinate approved academic and testing accommodations with students, faculty, and SDSU SSDS.
• Manage accommodation schedules, documentation, testing logistics, and confidential records.
• Connect students with academic and campus resources to support progress and retention.
• Build relationships with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners to provide student-centered service.
