Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Teacher for the West Side location at 1940 West 18th Street. Under the supervision of the principal, you will plan lessons, deliver instruction, assess progress, and maintain student records to support academic growth.

The position requires completion of student teaching and a valid Illinois teaching certificate (PEL or ELS). You will engage families, participate in meetings, and help implement classroom discipline in line with CPS policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain the teaching certificate.
• Valid PEL or ELS license endorsed for this position.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and curriculum standards.
• Ability to tailor instruction to diverse learners.
• Strong written and oral communication.
