Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support prescription processing and patient service within an expansive health care network.

This role requires an active Nevada Pharmacy Technician license and at least 3 years of pharmacy experience, including retail. Flexibility to cover sites in the Las Vegas area is needed, and English/Spanish language skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in Nevada.

Responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions, create orders, access/retrieve prescription information, and verify reimbursement eligibility.
• Provide superior customer service and maintain accurate medication distribution.
• Maintain inventory levels consistent with formulary and state regulations.
• Ensure prescriptions comply with OBRA'90 and all applicable laws.
• Coordinate with other departments to maximize service levels.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations and Optum policies.
• Exhibit compliant behavior and professional ethics in all duties.
