Konnectcx is seeking a Bilingual | Spanish to English Video-Remote Interpreter to join our remote team. You will provide accurate interpretation over the phone or video, bridging language gaps for service providers and clients in real-time.

The role requires fluency in English and Spanish, reliable equipment, and knowledge of interpretation ethics. You will work from home with EST/EDT scheduling and may earn performance bonuses based on quality and throughput.

Bilingual | Spanish to English Video-Remote Interpreter

Position Summary

We are seeking skilled and OPI/VRI Interpreters to join our team. As an interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals with limited English proficiency and service providers, ensuring accurate and professional interpretation. This is a working from home position, open to candidates with a strong background in over-the-phone (OPI) or video remote interpreting (VRI).

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish, with a strong command of grammar and vocabulary in both languages.
• Own a reliable computer with a stable, high-speed internet connection to support remote interpreting sessions.
• Familiarity with interpretation protocols, professional ethics, and confidentiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, professional, and culturally appropriate interpretation services over the phone or via video.
• Handle a variety of subject matters, including medical, legal, and customer service scenarios.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interpretation sessions, consistent with the Code of Conduct.
• Manage interpretation sessions effectively, ensuring clear communication and understanding between all parties.
• Stay current on industry terminology and best practices to provide high-quality interpretation.
• Document sessions as required, maintaining clear and organized records.

Nice to Have

• Minimum of six (6) months of professional experience as an OPI/VRI Interpreter.
• Strong listening, communication, and memory-retention skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency with interpretation platforms and virtual communication tools (e.g., Calabrio).
• Certification in interpretation (e.g., CCHI, RID, or equivalent) is a plus.

Working Conditions

• WFH position.
• Two days off per week.
• Schedules based on US Eastern Time (EST/EDT).
• Performance bonus available.
