Job summary

Durango School District 9-R is seeking a Part-time Spanish Language & Culture Enrichment Facilitator for Florida Mesa Elementary School for the 2026/2027 school year. 16 hours per week (0.40 FTE) with part-time benefits, starting as soon as possible.

Housing may be available for the 2026/2027 year, and a $720 sign-on bonus is offered if hired by October 1, 2026 (pro-rated for late starts). The role involves planning and assessing supplemental enrichment in Spanish language and culture, assisting

Qualifications

• Must hold Colorado Substitute Authorization or be eligible for one.
• Proficiency in speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish.
• Ability to adapt enrichment lessons to meet diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan instruction and assessment for Spanish enrichment lessons and culture.
• Assist the licensed teacher in supervising students during enrichment lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Modify and tailor lessons to address individual student differences and learning styles.
• Maintain safety, professionalism and adherence to district policies in all activities.
