Job summary

Ruiz Lopez CPA PA in Miami seeks an International Tax Associate I to help prepare returns for high‑net‑worth individuals and complex corporate structures, while gaining experience in consulting and cross‑border planning. You will work on onboarding, tax preparation, and research in a collaborative, on‑site environment.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and tax software; 1+ year tax experience is preferred,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Master’s degree in Taxation preferred
• CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exam; or Licensed Attorney or Enrolled Agent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and research capabilities
• Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Experience with UltraTax and QuickBooks preferred
• 1+ years of experience in tax preparation preferred
• 1+ years in accounting-related role preferred

Responsibilities

• Draft proposals, master service agreements, and statements of work
• Onboard clients and entities into our platform
• Assist with billing processes
• Prepare workpapers, allocations, and federal/state returns for individuals and entities
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations
• Contribute to research and deliverables for international tax planning
• Cross-border transaction structuring and tax optimization
• Draft client communications regarding IRS regulations and positions
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in client meetings
