Job summary

The Glenbard Elementary Consortium seeks a Bilingual Spanish Instructional Assistant at Glenn Westlake Middle School in Lombard, IL. This LTAA contract position supports instruction in Spanish and includes sick, personal days, and paid holidays.

Licensure options include PARAPROFESSIONAL, SUB/BA or PEL, with compensation tied to license level. Responsibilities include supporting teachers, preparing instructional materials, and supervising students as directed by the principal.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak educational instructions in Spanish to students.
• Prefer experience with special education students.

Responsibilities

• Prepares classroom materials for instruction as directed by teacher.
• Works with individuals or small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher.
• Guides independent study, enrichment work, make-up work and remedial work.
• Supervises students as assigned by the principal.
• Performs job-related tasks assigned by the principal.
