Job summary

Park Schools Montessori in Atlanta seeks a warm, nurturing Spanish-speaking Assistant Teacher for our Nido (Infant) classroom. You will support the Lead Teacher in daily routines and provide a safe, loving environment while exposing infants to Spanish through songs and interactions.

Ideal candidates are patient, gentle and dependable, with a passion for early childhood development; Montessori experience preferred but not required. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Spanish language ability required (fluent or conversational).
• Experience with infants or early childhood care preferred.
• Montessori experience preferred but not required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with daily infant routines and activities.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants.
• Support each child’s physical, emotional, social and developmental needs.
• Communicate with children in Spanish through songs, stories and daily interactions.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, naps and classroom schedules.
• Observe and respond to each child’s individual needs with care and patience.
• Help prepare and organize Montessori materials and activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Encourage independence and early developmental milestones.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, staff and families.
• Follow all school policies and childcare guidelines.
