Job summary

Park Schools Montessori in Atlanta is seeking a warm, nurturing Spanish-speaking Assistant Teacher for our Nido (Infant) classroom. The role focuses on supporting early growth and independence through gentle interactions and structured routines.

You will aid the Lead Teacher with daily infant care, communicate in Spanish through songs and activities, and help create a safe, loving learning environment that fosters trust and curiosity.

Qualifications

• Fluent or conversational Spanish required.
• Experience in infant or early childhood settings preferred.
• Montessori experience encouraged but not required.
• Knowledge of infant development and age-appropriate care.
• Willingness to learn and follow Montessori practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher with daily infant classroom routines and activities
• Provide a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for infants
• Support each child’s physical, emotional, social, and developmental needs
• Communicate with children in Spanish through songs, stories, and daily interactions
• Assist with feeding, diapering, naps, and maintaining classroom schedules
• Observe and respond to each child’s individual needs with care and patience
• Help prepare and organize Montessori materials and classroom activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Encourage independence and early developmental milestones
• Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and families
• Follow all school policies, health, safety, and childcare guidelines
