Job summary

MCHAP seeks part-time chaplains to provide spiritual care to employees and their families across client sites. You will visit worksites (usually weekly), offer confidential pastoral discussions, assist with funerals and grief support, and coordinate with executives under the Letter of Agreement with client companies.

Applicants should demonstrate interfaith sensitivity, strong communication, and the ability to work in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting.
• Active listening and strong interpersonal skills with clients and families.
• Ability to deliver community presentations and address stressful situations.
• Demonstrates spiritual maturity and commitment to Christian values.
• Diplomacy, patience, courtesy, and excellent customer service.
• Excellent oral and written communication; maintains emotional stability.
• Strong analytical skills to define problems and follow up on objectives.
• Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; quick to learn new tech.
• Must have an active state driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as messenger of faith, mission, and purpose within chaplain duties.
• Visit worksites weekly to build trust and provide support to employees.
• Provide confidential pastoral discussions for employees and families.
• Assist in planning or attending funerals and post-termination support.
• Provide spiritual enrichment activities when appropriate and requested.
• Distribute literature and resources for life issues; refer to specialized help as needed.
• Represent chaplain services to clients; explain Employee Care Service to new hires.
• Coordinate with executives and adhere to contractual agreements.
