Bilingual (Spanish/English) Clinical Research Coordinator (Finance)

The Center for Healthcare Delivery Science (CHDS) at Nemours Children's Health in Delaware is seeking a full-time Bilingual (Spanish/English) Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC).

The CHDS is a research center across the Nemours enterprise. Anne E. Kazak, Ph.D., ABPP is the enterprise director, Melissa A. Alderfer, PhD is the Center Director in Delaware and Susana R. Patton, Ph.D., ABPP is the Center Director in Florida. The CHDS includes over 20 investigators that study ways to improve health care, health equity, and health and wellness beyond medicine for youth and their families. Research projects span a variety of medical conditions (e.g., cancer, sickle cell disease, diabetes, pain, asthma, food allergy, disordered eating) and other health-related challenges (transition from pediatric to adult healthcare, behavioral interventions to improve coping with disease and treatment demands). This specific CRC position will support Type I diabetes research under the direction of Paul Enlow, PhD.

This position is based on site at Nemours Children's Hospital - Delaware in Wilmington.

The CRC will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of two NIH-funded clinical trials of a multicomponent intervention to improve engagement with diabetes technologies among adolescents with type 1 diabetes. One study focuses specifically on adolescents from families who are primarily Spanish-speaking. Essential CRC duties include coordinating IRB submissions, maintaining an up-to-date study regulatory binder, reviewing documentation for study recruitment and completion, monitoring participant status in relevant databases, organizing participant payments, maintaining regular contact with research coordinators across the trial sites, attending meetings with the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators for the study, and helping to ensure that the study runs smoothly by problem-solving any issues with screening, recruitment, or data collection as they arise. The CRC will also have the opportunity to engage in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, present at regional and national scientific meetings, help prepare manuscripts for publication, and receive ongoing, individualized mentorship around career advancement.
