As a Bilingual Benefits Specialist, you will provide exceptional support to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies by assisting with benefit verifications, prior authorizations, patient assistance enrollment, and related inquiries. The position is primarily customer service in a telephonic and web‑based environment, where you’ll help patients navigate access to their complex medication. Hybrid schedule may be available after 6 months.

Responsibilities
  • Benefit Verification: perform patient level benefits verifications for major medical and pharmacy plans; complete template forms for benefit coverage determination summaries; coordinate prior authorizations in compliance with payer guidelines and regulations.
  • Patient Assistance: review assistance enrollment forms and supporting documentation to assess eligibility; determine eligibility based on program criteria; communicate eligibility to patients, providers, and pharmacies; provide consultative support for obstacles to therapy.
  • Customer Service: answer inbound callers, resolve inquiries using FAQs, warm‑transfer to appropriate staff; actively listen, assess needs, respond politely; identify missing or incorrect information in service requests or applications; report adverse events/product complaints per SOP; provide timely feedback on service failures or customer concerns.
  • Technology & Communication: use the internal platform Lynk to process claims and move workflows; communicate with key medical practice accounts and sales representatives regarding case status.
  • Compliance & Quality: adhere to SOPs and corporate policies; complete training and certification deadlines; perform additional tasks or projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience, payer benefits experience (reimbursement, prior authorization, etc.), or healthcare industry experience; healthcare related certification, license, or coursework is strongly preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (bilingual) is required.
  • Typing speed of at least 35 words per minute with 97% accuracy; minimal travel flexibility.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, use computers, phones, and handle standard office equipment.
