Ivy Day School is seeking a caring, patient Bilingual English/Spanish Helper to join our early childhood education team. This role offers hands-on classroom experience for college students, with regular hours Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–3:30 PM, supporting teachers and young children.

You will help supervise children, implement activities, maintain hygiene, assist with meals and restroom routines, and contribute to a positive, nurturing learning environment.

Formación

• Some experience working or volunteering with children under 5 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Interest in Early Childhood Education or currently studying it.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Head Teacher with supervising children
• Help implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities
• Support children’s daily routines and learning
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and hygiene
• Serve meals and assist children during mealtimes
• Supervise bathroom use and assist with toileting
• Assist with diaper changes when needed
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment
• Provide support to teachers and children as needed throughout the day

Are you a College student interested in Early Childhood Education? Looking for hands-on experience working with young children while continuing your studies? This is a great opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and work alongside experienced teachers.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM

Responsibilities Include:

Desired Qualifications:

• Enjoys working with young children
• Ability to work well as part of a team

Employment Requirements:

The selected candidate will be required to complete:

• Medical clearance
• Background clearance
• Required workshops and trainings

College students majoring in Early Childhood Education or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply!
