Job summary

Ivy Day School is seeking a caring and dedicated Bilingual English/Spanish Helper to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in Early Childhood Education while you study, with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Ideal candidates are college students or those pursuing ECE, with some experience with young children and a strong teamwork mindset. Training and support will be provided to maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with children under 5 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Interest in Early Childhood Education or studying it.
• Caring, patient, and dependable team player.
• Enjoys working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Teacher with supervising children.
• Help implement daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Support children’s daily routines and learning.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness and hygiene.
• Serve meals and assist children during mealtimes.
• Supervise bathroom use and assist with toileting.
• Assist with diaper changes when needed.
• Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive classroom environment.
• Provide support to teachers and children as needed throughout the day.
