Job summary

Career Links is seeking a qualified bilingual English/Spanish Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, school-based contract assignment. You will deliver speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs and collaborate with educators, families, and special education professionals to support progress.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively assess bilingual students and communicate with families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
• Active Texas Speech-Language Pathologist license or eligibility.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Ability to obtain Texas school-based credentials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, considering students’ linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to students’ communication needs.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy and consultative services.
• Deliver services in both English and Spanish, as needed.
• Maintain documentation, progress reports, and service logs per IDEA and state/district requirements.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service providers to support student goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings, MDTs, and professional development activities.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic strategies and AAC when appropriate.
• Support inclusive educational practices and guide families to reinforce strategies across settings.
• Provide guidance to classroom staff and families to reinforce communication strategies.
