Job summary

Pathway Law Firm is seeking a Settlement Negotiator in Beverly Hills to analyze case values, negotiate with carriers and defense counsel, and prepare demand packages. This role requires 3–5 years in personal injury settlement work, strong knowledge of CA law, and excellent communication.

You will coordinate with case managers, physicians, and accounting to finalize settlements, with bilingual ability valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in personal injury law, specifically in settlement negotiation or claims handling.
• Strong knowledge of California personal injury law, insurance policies, and medical terminology.
• Proven ability to negotiate effectively and resolve cases efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (Salesforce, Litify, or similar).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working directly with insurance carriers or adjusters.
• Background in plaintiff-side personal injury or claims adjusting.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) is a must.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate settlements directly with insurance carriers, defense counsel, or third-party administrators.
• Evaluate medical records, bills, policy limits, and liability to develop demand arguments and counteroffers.
• Present case value recommendations to attorneys and clients, adjusting strategy based on feedback and progress.
• Ensure settlements are in the client and firm’s best interest considering damages, policy limits, and comparative fault.
