BRIXCO Construction, Inc. in Milpitas, CA seeks an experienced Senior Asphalt Paving Superintendent & Roadway Operations Lead to direct HMA laydown, milling, and pavement marking across regional Bay Area projects.

This autonomous field role requires bilingual English/Spanish leadership, Caltrans compliance, and strong logistics, with a competitive salary, company vehicle, benefits, and year-round project opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in heavy civil paving/highway construction with 2+ years as Field Superintendent or Lead Paving Foreman.
• Fluent verbal and written English and Spanish.
• Deep knowledge of asphalt laydown, compaction, plant logistics, cold milling, seal coating and striping.
• Ability to read civil prints and layouts and work from complex specs.
• Experience coordinating hauling, plant delivery timing, and subs with strong safety practices.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; ability to work nights/weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and sequence daily field operations for asphalt paving including milling, tack coat, mat paving, rolling and joints.
• Audit temperatures, mat thickness, yield, and compaction to meet Caltrans specs.
• Plan daily allocations for crews, plant orders, trucks, rollers and subcontractors.
• Direct bilingual on-site crews in English and Spanish and translate complex specs into goals.
• Interpret civil drawings, grading plans and municipal specs for active jobsites.
• Enforce OSHA and Caltrans traffic control with daily safety briefings.
• Track daily logs, tonnage tickets, hours, equipment use and yield metrics.
• Oversee slurry seal, seal coating and thermoplastic striping operations.
