Job summary

Mastery Schools in Camden, NJ is seeking a School Social Worker to improve academic performance and behavioral functioning of at‑risk students through counseling, home visits, direct intervention, and teacher consultation.

The Social Worker will provide crisis intervention, coordinate with families and outside agencies, conduct home visits, track data, and maintain professional documentation to support student success.

Qualifications

• Master’s in Social Work or a related clinical field is required.
• New Jersey School Social Work Certification is required.
• NJ Licensure as LSW, LPC, or LCSW is preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is highly preferred; bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Support students’ behavioral and academic success through counseling and home visits.
• Handle behavioral health crises within the school and provide crisis intervention.
• Coordinate with outside agencies and providers for student supports.
• Serve as liaison with families, manage cases for pregnant/parenting and homeless students.
• Track data on student supports, crises, and outcomes; maintain professional documentation.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement student support plans.
