Job summary
The HealthCare Connection (THCC) in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Bilingual School Based Medical Assistant to support providers and nurses in a busy school health center. Responsibilities include taking vitals, preparing patients for exams, assisting with procedures, administering vaccines, and maintaining accurate medical records to ensure smooth clinic operations.
The successful candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and have a Certified Medical Assistant credential with CPR
Qualifications
- Must have Medical Assistant Certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Experience in community health or private practice preferred
- Experience with electronic health records or strong computer skills
- Excellent communication and customer service
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with direct patient care and document vitals
- Conduct screening tests as requested
- Draw blood and administer vaccines
- Respond to telephone inquiries
- Maintain exam room equipment and supplies
- Complete encounter forms and coding as needed
- Coordinate referrals for patients
- Support clinic operations to ensure smooth workflow
