Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations on multiple projects. The role reports to the Branch safety director and requires bilingual English/Spanish communication on site.

The successful candidate will lead safety training, conduct inspections, maintain records, and promote a culture of safety across all crews, with a focus on preventing incidents and injuries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8 years of overall safety experience.
• Minimum of 5 years as a site safety manager.
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 highly preferred.
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be bilingual in English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and upholds core values and safety culture.
• Plans, directs and manages safety activities on multiple jobsites.
• Conducts health and safety training programs and maintains records.
• Analyzes processes and facilities for hazards; mitigates risks.
• Maintains daily Safety Task Assignments with crews on project.
• Trains staff on Lockout/Tagout compliance.
• Acts as scaffolding competent person with daily inspections.
• Carries out jobsite, crane and equipment inspections and audits.
