Job summary

United Contractor Services is seeking a Bilingual Construction Safety Manager to own the safety program on one active project at a time, then move to the next site nationwide. You will train crews in English and Spanish and work with superintendents and foremen daily.

Travel with company-paid lodging and per diem is involved. OSHA standards mastery, 4+ years in safety, and bilingual communication are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction safety experience, with commercial projects preferred.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 500 certifications.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required with the ability to train on site.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites nationwide.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 standards, silica, fall protection, and scaffolding.
• Experience with interiors, drywall, or framing trades is a plus.
• CHST/STS or first aid/CPR trainer credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce the safety program and site safety plan daily.
• Develop and review JHAs/AHAs and daily pre-task plans with crews.
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and bilingual training.
• Conduct daily inspections; correct hazards and track actions.
• Manage interior trades hazards: silica, fall protection, lifts, scaffolds.
• Lead investigations, root-cause analysis, and near-miss reporting.
• Coordinate with GC safety team and participate in safety meetings.
• Verify operators have current training and certifications.
• Organize safety workshops and foster a caring jobsite culture.
